It's all in the detail...

Detail, detail, detail. Whether it's your wedding, or your attending one...it has to be memorable for both parties...not just the bride. I mean it is her day...a day she will never forget. But I'd want my guest to never forget my day...because it was just that freakin awesome. It's all in the detail ladies. From the venue, down to the forks being used...it's the little things...that pull the big things together. Check out the pics below. Warning, there is some maj detail going on at some of these weddings, I would have loved to attend : )

Best Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids are the "go-to" girls, under the maid of honor for the wedding. If your lucky enough to be picked to stand behind the bride on the most important day of her life, its a big deal. Your like her little army of minions, her cheerleading squad, her head nodders, and no opinion makers. Bridesmaids are the party starters, and most importantly, the people who will make sure she lives her last single girl night out...and ride it 'til the wheels fall off. Here are some of the best bridesmaids of ALL time.

Liv and Emma from Bride Wars. This movie is hilarious to watch. Liv and Emma are bestfriends, who practically sabatoge each other, down to the final hours of their wedding days, which happened to be on the same day, at the same time, at the same place. Don't want to spoil it...but this one is definitly made the best bridesmaid list, and you'll see why.

Ahh...the ladies of Sex & the City. These are what bridesmaids should be made of ladies. When Big screwed up....royally screwed up...i mean, unforgivably screwed up everything? These ladies stepped right in and saved Carrie. Not to mention made what was supposed to be a beautiful honeymoon for Carrie and Big, into a pretty sweet ladies vacay. Always good to have bestfriends, for bridesmaids. : )

We all know this one. Oh Julia...you were the bridesmaid that needed a beatdown. : ) Luckily, we all understood that you loved the groom, and he loved you too. But...there was a girl...who was just...well....better. : ) Good thing you understood in the end and put on that bridesmaid dress.

Your not a girl if you didn't want to be a girl in the 80's. Who didn't want Jake Ryan standing outside the church after their sister's wedding. Then to top it off, he bought you a birthday cake, and as the candle's lit his face, asked you to make a wish? This is one of my all time favorite movies to watch growing up, and still today. I'm not too keen on my birthday. It's always ruined every year somehow lol, so I always imagined having a birthday like Sam's.

The end all..of end all. If this wasn't the funniest movie ever, I don't know what is. If I can get me a group of these on my big day....it's a wrap.

Oh! What a Weekend!

Hey QueenBees! How was your weekend? Mines was as they say, "Just what the doctor ordered." Lol! From Friday, all the way until Sunday night  had a blast non-stop. Take a look!

"A girl must always be two things...classy & fabulous"-Coco Chanel
Lunch n' the City

Me completely caught off guard by my mom snapping pictures.

Was going for a classy look. I was going to see The Color Purple on Broadway. Bought this dress from a little boutique on the Miami strip. (Ocean Drive). Shoes: Bakers Bag: H&M

Got lunch with my buddy Auv. We tried a new restaurant...Quartino. Everything was absolutley delicious, and 100% Italian. Even down to the portion sizes. Will do a review of this restaurant soon. Its on the corner of Ontario & State St.

Selfie! Hey Ash!

We had 3rd row seats at The Color Purple on Broadway! This show was amazing! It's playing at the Mercury Theatre in Lakeview. It was so good. All of you theatre heads, get your butt up and go see this! Not to mention...these actors can SING.

No one in my family will every go hungry. I am always eager to get in the kitchen, and this weekend, cooked dinner for my family and friends. Just told anybody if they were hungry to come by and get a plate. I was a bit modest at first, but I must say when your kitchen has over 10 people in it, and all you hear is the sound of the fork hitting the plate, I was a little proud. lol! Food was delicious I was told. I love to cook for people.

My Bestfriend, she rocks : ) This was after dinner, so I'm thinking she was satisfied with her meal lol!

Your looking at 3 generations of fierce. Mama fierce is to the right with the pink workout gear. I'm to the left with this Madonnesque sequin dress, and that's my little niece in the middle. She's a sophmore in highschool now, geesh! I remember changing this kid's diapers!

Hey Pumpkin : )

Was walking down Oak St....and I walked dead into this. I screamed. Yes. Outloud, I screamed. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a HUGE Harry Winston fan. I had no idea, that there was a Harry Winston in Chicago...?! When I say this was the highlight of my weekend...it was the HIGHLIGHT of my weekend. My Harry...was in Chicago. Made me feel like a girl in love : ) lol

Which leads me to tell you, this week is Wedding Week at T4Q!!! I know about 6 weddings taking place this Labor Day weekend! So I'm super excited to post all week, about the dresses, the venues, the vows, and evertying else in between!

How was your weekend ladies?

Be Fierce. Be Queen. Be You.

Why Didn't Anybody Warn Me?

I mean a few people that know I've committed to watching every season of Grey's Anatomy, gave me a few tips on the last episode of Season 2...but I was not prepared. First off, the entire episode was around the Prom being thrown at Seattle Grace, and Izzie's marriage proposal. My prom was so terrible. It was almost as if I didn't really have a prom. I mean I got to dress up, and get beautiful. But a few hours before prom started, I caught my now ex boyfriend ( dogged that bullet) telling his ex girlfriend how much he wanted to be with her for his special day. I only decided to go because my favorite aunt begged me to go..."after all we spent so much money". But to say it was unforgettable was an understatement. I was morbidly embarrassed, I cried, I couldn't enjoy getting dressed, and everything was just all wrong. If I could do prom over, I would...just with someone who really, really wants to be there...with me. So I got hung up, all of the staff asked each other to prom, and it was cute...blah blah blah.

But I was not ready for Denny to just...you know. Especially after the transplant, and his speech about how in his 5 years of being sick, he "never got to decide anything, or choose anything...but Izzy...I choose you"...and just incase she didnt hear him...he said it like 5 times. She leaves to get dressed for the prom...then BAM.

Shonda...as if I don't have an actual, real legitimate life, with real people...with a real job...and real feelings...please....give me a freaking break.

Moral of this impromptu, " Omg I have to blog about this," rant? Guys...be a REAL guy, and ask your lady to prom. Whether youve been together for years or not. She will feel special. This night may be a night that your hanging with your buddies for the last time, and you have to get laid...you know...because its prom..but don't forget its her night too. And 9 times out of 10....this is the only time, other than her wedding, that she will get to put on an insanely beautiful dress, and slow dance, and most of all feel super special. She will never forget this night.

Girls....life is short. I mean...super....super short. If your lucky enough to have someone, who loves you like Denny loved Izzy...or maybe the other way around? You have something special. And you should feel every bit of that special...that you have : ).

Sidenote: I hear Grey's is just getting started, and I'm only on Season 3 now. I made a promise to watch this, and I never, ever, never break my promises...but man. Maybe I should make someone else start over and watch it with me............hmmmmm?

Kay, my pointless rant is over. This post was so not planned. But whatever.

K'byeeee!

It's all about Me, Me, Me

Forget about you, you, you, you, and you! lol! No, not you! But that's an oooooold jam of mines. Finally had my Detox Day, that was supposed to be last Monday, ended up being Friday...but alteast I got it up right? Ladies, sometimes it just has to be all about you. Take a day for yourself and just take care of you. Go buy you something nice, get a massage, workout, treat yourself to a dinner, take a bubble bath...whatever you want to do. We get so caught up in our schedules, that we forget to schedule time for just us.  So I had a little Me Day...

Macroons!!! Who doesn't love Macroons? They were so good...and I ate every one of em.

Took a looooong bubble bath. My body was super sore from working out, so I poured a glass of wine, grabbed a book, and soaked. : )

Love, Love, Looove Que Bella products!!! I've only tried the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Mud Mask...and it's my absolute favorite. I've tried many mud masks before, and I have really sensitive skin, so I'm super skeptical about what I put on my face. But you put this on, and I usually keep mines on until it hardens up a little, and I rinse it off with warm water. Face feels like heaven afterwards. Not to mention when I wake up the next morning, I'm usually blemish free, bumps are usually gone, and my face feels firmer. Try it out...I get mines from Target. They are located in the All Natural/ Organic isle.

Kay, g'niiight :)

Listen Ladies

Ladies,

For the guys who let you down, who you believed in, but they didn't deserve it. This one is for you. If a guy walks out of your life, willingly, because he has his own personal issues. Let him. If he's stupid enough to leave, be smart enough to let him go. You are an awesome, beautiful person, and what you have to give, is worth keeping.

 You are enough.

Guys ( not all guys) but a vast majority of them, are idiots. I've met some of the most selfish, self-centered, no brain having guys in my short 23 years of living. And I've seen some of the most smartest, heart-warming, beautiful girls, getting their hearts crapped on, because of him and his issues. Roll call shall we? " I just cant do it", " I'm not good for you," " I'm not ready" "I still want to have fun," "You deserve better," "I love you, but I'm not in love with you" (my fav) "It's not you, It's me."  And on...and on...and on. Is is just me or do they have more excuses than we do! "No baby, it's not an excuse, that's just how I feel," I thought I was the woman in the this relationship. Ummm could you pass me those pants your wearing too?

I always say, "Real women are like the biggest ride at amusement parks. Guys, your not ready for it...if it's too much to handle, stay out of my line. Go ride the teacups, and watch someone else who can handle someone like me.

Pass this on. Because as hard as it may be to look at it now, there is someone out there, who will look you in the eye, take a full assessment of you, inside and out, and he will fight like hell to hold on to you. And that's just it.

Be Fierce. Be Queen. Be You.

The Camera Roll...

Soooo I totally forgot to do my Detox Monday...I'm committing to watching the entire series of Grey's Anatomy, and my mind was all the way at Seattle Grace. So today I'll just post a few pictures of what I did this weekend. My girlfriends and I decided to try a new bar in Chicago, it was a beautiful night setting. We sat outside with our drinks, and watched the Maserati's, Bugatti's, and Lamborghini's pull up. No lie...they pulled up one after the other, to say it was nice was an understatement. The men were super sweet there too ladies ; )

Cant remember what these martini's were called but these little babies had a kick to them! My girlfriends didn't like them too much...I thought they were pretty good.

Really sweet guy at work gave me these Friday. He said it was the "Most Beautiful Girl at Work Day" , and handed me these with the cutest little note. Super sweet, and nice guy...definitely made my day : )

Not really a good picture, the steam from the pizza fogged my view. Made a homemade pizza for dinner Sunday night for family and friends.Everything was homemade...will post my recipe at a later date. Note: Definitely not for the healthy hearted...

How was your weekend?

Happy Monday my fellow Queens!

My New England "No Clam" Bake

Hey all!

This weekend I did my own spin on a New England Clam Bake! I saw this process while watching Platinum Wedding’s on WEtv , a couple flew there entire bridal party, and guests overseas for a real New England Clam Bake, and I was entirely too fascinated with it. Those who are familiar with the process know that you cook the food outside, in a pit. I live in a condo, so I don’t think my fellow condo livers would have been happy about a fiery pit in our front lawn…so I cooked different elements in the kitchen : ). The typical ingredients for a New England Clam Bake would be potatoes, corn on the cob, lobster, clams, crawfish…and other veggies. I dont like clams. Hence the title New England "No Clam" Bake. I hear you can use whatever fresh seafood you want but here I used potatoes, corn on the cob, lobster, and crab legs ( yuuuum).

For a traditional clambake, the food is cooked in a fire pit lined with hot stones and layered with seaweed. Find a beach that permits open pit cooking and start digging. For the more non traditional…bust out those pots and pans, grab a glass of wine, turn on the tunes…and get to broiling!

New England "No Clam" Bake

1.5lb. Fresh Snow Crab Legs
4  Fresh Lobster Tail ( Depending on how many you feed)
6 Medium Russet Potatoes chopped
4 Fresh Corn on the Cob ( raw w/ husk still attached)
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Italian Seasoning
4 Cloves of Garlic minced
1 Stick of Butter ( Melting Purposes)
Friends
Family
Empty Bellys :)

1. Scrub your potatoes, and let them dry. You can pre set your oven to 350 F. Peel and chop them into small cubes. Put them into a bowl, with a lid. Pour 2 Tbsp. of olive oil in the bowl...along with your seasonings. I dont have an exact measurement...I usually just eye it. Cover the lid, and shake! Make sure your potatoes are coated well with boil the oil, and the seasonings. Spread them on a baking pan, pop em in the oven! ( 45 minutes)

2. While the potatoes are cooking, I usually pull the corn husk, clean them off, break them into halves and put them in boiling water. ( 20 Minutes)

3. Your lobster tails should be thawed in very cold water. They are thawed when both the head of the tail, and the actual tail can touch ends. Clean these off, and get out your cutting board, and a pair of nice sharp kitchen shears. Cut down the middle of the shell, stopping right before the tail. Flip the lobster over, and cut off the little fins. (awwe thats so sad) This is up to you...I cut them off because it made it a lot easier to break the meat from the vertabrae in the shell when it comes time to season and broil.  Once that is done, stick two fingers into the shell's end, and lightly pull the lobster meat up. Getting rid of the access crap, or whatever that gooey stuff is on the meat. Once this is cleaned pull the meat out of the shell until it gets to the tail. You are not pulling it out of the shell entirely, just enough to place the meat ontop of the shell for broiling. Lather with butter, and a small amount of salt and pepper. Throw it in the broiler for about 6-8 minutes. (This takes no time, so watch your timing!)

4. Your crab legs will take no time either. This is usually the quickest. I put mines into a boiling pot of hot water, while they are still frozen. This usually takes about 10 minutes.

Once all items are cooked, and your just about drooling, its time to plate your food, melt some butter, and chow down!
