A Royal Princess Affair

Hey there! The Royal Princess Party ended up being a huge success! Whew! We had such a great turnout, and all the little girls, and even the little boys enjoyed making crowns. Since the idea came from my mere obsession with being Queen, I wanted to do something for someone that I wish could've done for me when I was a little girl. All girls want to be their own kind of princess, and if I had the chance to give them that feeling, just for a little while, I was jumping on it! So I'm going to upload a few pictures from last nights event. I want to say I truly had such a good time with each and every one of them, and a sincere thanks to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicago. They are truly a gift, and being there with those children, was the most humbling experience I've ever had. We were given a tour of the House, and you guys, it was so beautiful. It was so nice to see that so many people donated so many good things to the house, and it restored my faith in humanity.

I'm a super organized person, this was my itinerary, plus my crown : )

This is Harland, he was such a sweet boy. He made a few crowns for his baby sister.

 The twins : )
When in doubt on how to pose for a picture...always go with fierce! : )

We were even graced with a puppet show before we left lol.

Didn't really take too many pictures on the tour. But this is a mural on the rooftop of the House. Where parents can come outside and relax. There is also a play area for the children. Everything was so immaculate, and the best was all donated.
Special thanks to my QueenBee's here! They lended a helping hand last night with everything from the kids to the cleanup. Couldn't have done this without you girls!
Even bigger thanks to mommy for helping me out as well. She took off work, and came all the way downtown to be with us! Thanks Mommy!

Big thanks to the Ronald McDonald House for letting me and my family come in to help out with the kids for a little while. It was such a blessing to play with these children, who make our stupid problems we have so small. These children have the WORLD on their shoulders, but you would never know by their attitude that they had. Each, and every single one of them were super positve, and super excited to make Prince and Princess crowns with me, and I am so greatful. See you soon RMHC!

Wedding Update!

I know, I know...I'm about 3 post late, but I've been so busy, my head is spinning, literally. Labor Day weekend, went to a beautiful wedding, that had 2 parts, the actual wedding was Saturday evening, and Sunday they had a beautiful barbeque...which was awesome! I had such a good time, and I was running around so much with the bride, and friends, and family...i've literally taken all week to get it back together.Let the camara roll..........

Gearing up for the partaaaay! It was hot outside, and my curls were not playing either :/ Thankfully I had a dress to wear for this type of weather, that was still formal.
Loved her decor. Each setting had a big ball of roses, and the holders lit up once we sat down for dinner, they dimmed the lights. It was held at a banquet hall in Indiana, and I was farely surprised at how nice it looked on the inside of the place.

These babys were everywhere : ), added to the romantic mood.

My date for the wedding. I originally had a date, but things didn't pan out, so my little cousin/brother came all the way home from Ole Miss to accompany me : ). He was super close to the bride too, she's like another sister to us, so it all worked out. Paired my dress with my sig shoes the Pink Ladies. Dress is from Arden B, got it about a year ago.
Norayi and Anthony : ) They've been together since their freshman year in high school. When I say you can really see the love they have for each other, you can really see it. And I was so happy that they let us join in with them on their special day!

Had a photo booth at the wedding, with tons of props! This is us with the bride. We had so much fun!

The next day she had a HUGE barbeque for everyone. Which was a great idea I found out, because that gave her and her groom some time to sit with their relatives, and thank them for coming to the wedding, and really just enjoy their family. Anthony and Norayi didn't really care about the venue, the flowers, etc.. etc..I mean even though all of these things were really beautiful...what they focused on mainly for their wedding, was joining two families into one.

Btw ladies, there were some really handsome, nice guys at the wedding. I'm not too keen on attending weddings for personal reasons lol, but I noticed a wedding is a really nice place to meet people. (That is, if your looking) All of Anthony's groomsmen were super sweet to me, both at the wedding and at the barbeque. One pulled me to the side, and sparked up a conversation with me. He went and got me a drink, and honestly just kept asking me all of these questions! But, low and behold, my date/brother/cousin..Kam, popped out of the bushes, grabbed my arm, and spilled my drink all over himself, my dress, and the guy...who in the end...was scared away. Thanks Kam!
His excuse: "I'm going to have to start screening these boys Ash. Your the best kind of girl any guy could ask for, I know no female like you, and I'm sorry I'm not going to just let anybody sweep you off your feet, not just anybody."

Gaah!!! Who could be mad at him after that?! So we hugged it out in all of our sticky alcoholic glory, and had a great time the rest of the weekend.

I have to go now! Going to a 70's party at my favorite aunts house. But stay tuned! I'm gearing up for something else, that I've super excited to share with you!
